About Event
One Minute Challenge is back for the 11th time!
The Keep Swinging community welcome you for a wonderful weekend with International Teachers, Swinging Live Bands and of course with the One Minute Challenge showcase competition!
Our plan for this year
There will be classes for 3 levels, where the full pass includes both Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz classes! To compete in the competition is optional. If you would like to only enjoy the classes and the parties that is wonderful as well! Although we look forward to your creative choreoghraphies like last years.
We are planning on selling the full passes first. Single night tickets will be only available if we have free spots. Please bear in mind that it is really hard to organize an event these days, so if you have the means, please buy the full pass to support the event. 😉

Competition Rules
- One Minute Challenge is an all level friendly showcase competition!
- TEAM COMPETITION for 2 – 4 dancers
- Showcase competition: competitors create and present their own choreographed routine
- Choreography should be ~1 minute long
- Choreography can have any coupled or solo swing dance or a mix of them
- Competitors chose their own music. Must use swing music! Music does not have to be authentic, can be a current jazz band. Any and all teams with non swing / jazz music are disqualified. Feel free to contact us if you unsure about your music’s genre.
- Music has to last between 55-90 seconds! Any and all teams with music below 55 or over 90 sec are disqualified
- Allowed music format is mp3.
- You can join more teams (however each team has to have different members)
- If you join for more teams, it has to be the same level, no jumping between levels.
- No help / support / advice from outside the team allowed to help the competitors in the choreography. We would like to see your abilities and efforts! We are really interested how you are thinking about the music and you can present it for us ?
- Competition will be judged by your teachers
- Performances will be published in the Keep Swinging social media platforms
- Each team should be signed up only once. You can register with your team till January 29th.
- You will get a link to sign up your team after you registered yourselves to the event.
Terms & Conditions
- The Organizer has the right to make changes to the schedule throughout the event.
- We reserve the right to change the time or location of the evening dances. We will communicate any possible change on the website and / or Facebook Page.
- Furthermore, we reserve the right to replace the teachers in case any of them gets sick.
- By registering to our Festival, you agree to have pictures and video taken, shared and used on social media and for our own marketing purposes.
- If you behave inappropriately, you may be asked to leave without any refund.
- The Organizer bears no responsibility for the Participant’s valuables or physical injuries. Please look out for yourself and for others as well.
- One Minute Challenege will not tolerate any signs of psychological, physical, sexual or any other form of harrassment at the event. Should you experience any unpleasant situation or witness harassment of any kind, please inform us immediately. Please bring your concerns to The OMC crew: Barbi, Bori, Atesz or anyone at the reception. The reception will also be ready to offer support in any way they can in these situations, and assist further if the police or an ambulance is needed. As organizers, we reserve the right to take any action we may consider appropriate, including warning the offender or expelling him / her from the event with no refund.
- We encourage you to register with a dance partner.
- Single registration is possible as well, however, you might be put on the waiting list if you register alone.
- If you receive a spot because you signed up with a partner, your spot is only secured in case your partner has registered and paid as well.
- If we will not have received your payment within 5 days, your registration may be canceled in order to give other people the chance to participate at the event.
- The registration process is considered final and finished once the payment is obtained by the Organizer.
- If you cannot attend the event, the following rules will be observed:
- Cancellation more than 15 days before Event – Organizer will return 100% of the payment
- Cancellation within 15 days before Event –no refund
- In case of cancellation, you can also try to sell your ticket to someone else with the same role (leader or follower). If you find somebody who wants to buy your pass / ticket, please let us know. If you have to cancel and you have not found anybody to sell your pass / ticket to, please let us know as we might have somebody on the waiting list.
- In case the Organizers have to cancel the event because of any changes in the pandemic situation or the Hungarian government’s applicable Covid measures:
- One Minute Challenge will refund 80% of your payment. The remaining 20% will be retained as an administrative and expense compensation fee which will allow us to pay for the expenses already incurred.
- In the moment there is no restrictions in Hungary, so we will plan accordingly. No mask, no restrictions. We will kindly ask you if youfeel sick stay at home!
- If governmental rules are changing we have to apply them accordingly in our event, in that case we will let you know as soon as possible!
